Countess in the Press in Recent Months (II)
Happy start to the week!
La Condesa, as she is known in the 2.0 world, admits that what she likes most about writing a 'blog' is "the therapy of being able to laugh at myself in front of hundreds of people and the opportunity to participate in events and actions that were previously reserved for an elite."
As I do from time to time, today I'm giving you a proud recap of La Condesa's press appearances in recent months. As I always say, it's too exceptional for this to keep happening not to brag about it on the blog. So please allow me these moments of concentrated self-glorification. Someone at Cibeles told me that I've been less in the media lately, but, luckily no, my friend, it's just that instead of bombarding you with every single appearance, I now wait a few months until I gather a few to avoid boring you.
In June, Vanidad magazine organized one of the best blogger events ever. A cocktail tasting on the terrace of the San Antón market. Thanks Marta de la Calzada & Co.
I have wonderful memories of that afternoon that turned into night, and it's because, in addition to the pleasant company and the excellent atmosphere, I'm quite sure it was the last alcoholic spark I enjoyed before finding out I was pregnant. I also remember a small fall with my bike on the way home due to the rain and the slippery white markings on the pedestrian crossings. Luckily, there was nothing more to regret, as my speed must have been like a snail's, and they don't do breathalyzer tests for city bikes yet.
A few weeks later, La Gaceta de los negocios reported on the blogger phenomenon and featured me alongside other colleagues, fully aware of my state of grace. Thanks, María Perea, for the article.

La Condesa, as she is known in the 2.0 world, admits that what she likes most about writing a 'blog' is "the therapy of being able to laugh at myself in front of hundreds of people and the opportunity to participate in events and actions that were previously reserved for an elite."
Marina, an engineer and expert in strategic consulting, was looking for a professional change and to enter the world of fashion. In response to the difficulties she encountered in entering the sector, she decided to create El vestidor Conde and her whole world. "Since I didn't have a noble title, I decided to invent one and, incidentally, honor my mother's surname, who taught me to sew." Today, Marina has managed to create her own company for making military-style jackets that have become the favorite garments of fashion editorials and many celebrities.
But what do blogs have that have revolutionized the world of traditional fashion? Marina believes they are a visual revolution, "the insatiable hunger for photos that we have and that sometimes falls short with magazines, blogs make up for it."
In July we appeared again in Vanidad, talk about being on a roll. I must say that this appearance is probably one of the most exciting for me so far, and you'll soon see why. Thanks again to Marta de la Calzada and Fátima Arce for organizing everything.
Because I appear with the most charismatic and beautiful being on earth, which is Will!!! What's more, I shamelessly claim he's my dog, instead of my sister's, but at that time Will was sick, and we thought we were losing him, and I was terribly upset, so it was my way of sending him all the love I have for him, by choosing him as my photo companion. My goodness, the dog looks handsome, he even seems to be smiling. I don't remember where I once read that a trick to look good in a photo is to hug a dog; it clearly worked here, we both look so happy. And I really want to go to San Francisco right now.
In the summary of winter trends in ELLE magazine, our Jimy vest appears, which is quite an event since we had never appeared in ELLE until now, well, actually we still haven't appeared since this is the special supplement but hey, it's a start.
In September, we participated in Cibelespacio by dressing the two cheerleaders at the Telva stand with the women's Beatle model jackets.
In October, El País's fashion supplement was launched in collaboration with Condé Nast, and La Condesa had the honor of appearing in its second issue.
Also in a fantastic report alongside other emerging brands that we loved because, in addition to including us in the selection and treating us with great care, they photographed two of the new pieces from the winter collection: the silver Condesa and the black Praga vest, designed to wear over jackets and stay warm. Many thanks to Noelia Collado.
Curiously, in the latest issue of Vogue, the special with Natasha Poly, we also appeared, by chance, but we appeared and it makes us happy because the issue is spectacular, and just appearing in a corner is enough to jump for joy.
The report is about the pop-up stores organized by Ana Marian, in which La Condesa has participated in both editions, as we told you some time ago. The funny thing is not only that the photos illustrating the report clearly show a Marquesa model jacket, but also that the photo of the skate on the left is mine! Yes, haha, if you visit the post from months ago, you'll see that it's one of the ones I published. I'm cracking up, I can now say I'm a photographer with photos published in Vogue Spain, and I wouldn't be lying. So intense.
Outside of magazines, we've also had the opportunity to participate in projects with artists and dress people we love.
For example, Olivia de Borbón who a few days ago attended an event with her Condesa jacket, wearing it with great style.
Or this other person, whose identity I can't reveal yet, but it's been an absolute pleasure to meet her, collaborate with her, and to whom I wish all the success in the world to burst into a glitter bubble above her head and shine above all of us. As soon as I can, I'll tell you, meanwhile... dare you to guess who it is?
Finally, these two young rockers who...I don't know who they are, oops. One day, browsing the internet, I found these photos by chance and... I freaked out. The girl's jacket is mine, I'm 100% sure of that, but I'm afraid I don't know who they are. And don't think I don't confess it with embarrassment, but it's the truth. Could you lend me a hand, please? Do you know who they are? The jacket looks great on her.
That's all for now. Many, many thanks to all the stylists, journalists, buyers, and fans who have made it possible for La Condesa to remain, as the English say, alive and kicking!!
Hugs and good luck with Monday,
La Condesa
