Shopping route for boys in Madrid
La Conde Duque area and its surroundings have become a benchmark for men's fashion in Madrid. If I were a man, I would only shop in those streets.
One of the stores in that area that I love is Polar, which defines itself as "discreet clothing for modern guys from head to toe". And it's true, because one of the things that I'm crazy about in this store is its collection of Wesc headphones.
The thing is, the other day, passing by the door of Polar, I met its owner wearing some fabulous blue and pink boat shoes! To my surprise, they turned out to be women's, but I don't remember the brand. What do you think of them? I've seen these new remakes of boat shoes quite a bit, and I confess they amuse me. I don't know if I would wear them, but I like seeing them on other people.

So this post is about the best shops for men in Madrid. I give all the names and directions above and it all began because the other day I went by one of those shops and found the owner wearing these fabulous pair of pink and navy shoes. What do you think of them? They actually turn out to be women's shoes, but who could tell. Would you wear them?

"Supreme" (c/ Martín de los Heros, 24): men's clothing, I insist, men's, well, and also women's. Carmen, the owner, is lovely, knows more about fashion than anyone, and the best thing you can do is let her advise you. Very good brands like Comme des garçons, Paul Smith or Martin Margiela (the scarf they brought gives me cold sweats of desire) mixed with other less known but equally spectacular ones.
- "Chill Out" (c/ Martín de los Heros, 17) : more informal. The owner's name is Natalia, and she brings an amazing selection of casual clothes. Jeans, sneakers you won't find anywhere else, the most exquisite from Nike and Adidas, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and an occasional British touch.
-
"Polar" (c/ Conde Duque,5): As I said, modern clothes, without ostentation but very beautiful. You can find everything from shirts to a wide collection of polo shirts and many accessories.
-
"Sportivo", "Mini" and "Duke" (c/Conde Duque, 20 and surroundings): they are all from the same owners who have opened three stores with different target audiences. Sportivo is trendier, it has the latest of the latest. Mini is more gentlemanly (my favorite), it has suits that will make you swoon, shirts, ties, uff!! And Duke is only for sneakers.
