Bohemianism and leopard print, Madrid

Venía rondándome la cabeza the world of leopard print ever since I read this great post by Jamelgo de Luxe, when two other events crossed my path. One, Gabriela Amability confessed to me that, after years of resisting, she finally embraced the leopard print cause (or animal print as you'll see it in magazines) because of a jacket. Two, I met this lovely girl whom I photographed because I loved her overall look, and when I saw the photo on the computer screen, I realized that the cardigan she was wearing was leopard print!!! It's clear, we had to write about this trend that never leaves us, sometimes more, sometimes less, in colors, with fur, in print...but it's always there.

I know that if Gabriela shared with us the extensive research she did to understand and embrace the world of leopard print, we would learn a lot (if you feel like it, send me whatever you want and I'll post it), but in the meantime, we're admiring the grace and boldness with which our protagonist of today has mixed leopard print.
It's not easy to take risks with leopard print, in fact, it's best to limit it to its best friend, black, and she has managed to do that very well with the pants and the cap. But I love how she took a risk with the blue printed scarf and the result is very fresh, very young, with a bohemian touch that moves away from the idea we usually have of our friend leopard print, which tends to make us look a little older.
By the way, the pants with outer pockets are beautiful (a copy of some Balenciaga from last year) and you can find them at Blanco for €30 in black and khaki.

It seemed like I had to write a post about animal print acording the next series of event: one, I had recently read a post about it in another blog. Two, a friend of mine recognises that after years denying it, she's finally on with the trend. Three, I take a picture of this girl which I first don't realize but when downloading it into the computer I see her cardigan it's animal printed! So, it had to be done, animal print makes an entrance in this blog.
It is clear that the best and safest way to wear it is together with black, but it stills gives you an inmediate "formal oldish look at me" kind of look, which she has avoided throwing a blue printed scarf and a funny hat. Love it. Looks fresh, young and with a certain bohemian hint.
