The dressing room of... Mario Díez Campoamor
We are launching a new section where we will invite people who I consider to have a special style to show us their favorite looks, that is, we are going to sneak into their wardrobes for a day so they can tell us how they manage to be so stylish all the time and with barely any effort.
Our first guest is Mario Díez Campoamor. Mario is a personal trainer, he is 33 years old and lives in Madrid. Among his extensive client list are some of the best bodies in this country, and if the walls of Fit Madrid (his center on Lagasca street) could talk, we would be entertained for a good while, but Mario is very discreet, and today he is here because of how well he dresses. And it must be said, for his continuous and invaluable support of El Vestidor Conde (he points out people for me to photograph, reads, forwards, and comments... a gem).
When we ask him about his style of dress (what a question!), he tells us that every day he wakes up with a different one. Some days he's a punk, another an English gentleman, another a rocker, who knows, but he draws heavily from Italian influences and British style, and he mainly buys when he travels.
Knowing this premise, we asked him to select his three favorite looks for: going to buy bread, working, and going out.

Look 1: Casual, informal or for a stroll
A t-shirt and jeans are his perfect formula, oh, and always sunglasses

Jeans: Urban Outfitters, San Francisco
Zapatillas / Sneakers: Onitsuka Tiger, Le Bon Marché, Paris
Gafas / glasses: Ray-Ban Aviator (you could say he practically wears them glued on)
Look 2: For work, in this case, training
He never wears what mere mortals know as a tracksuit; he looks for original sports clothing in all kinds of stores and invests huge amounts in sneakers. Granted, they are his work tool, but judging by the number of pairs, he's close to Imelda in a sporty version.

Cazadora/ Top: H&M, Los Angeles
Shorts: Prada
Zapatillas / Sneakers: New Balance (attention runners, it seems he hasn't taken them off since he tried them)
Look 3: Going out, dining, dancing...
Blazers, blazers, and blazers. With t-shirts, with shirts, with skinny jeans, with sneakers, it doesn't matter, but always with a blazer over it. Tired of everyday casual clothes, he loves to take advantage of any occasion to dress up and enjoy clothes by experimenting and having fun.
Corbata / Tie: El Ganso
Americana / Jacket: Filipa K
Jeans: Carlos Díez
Zapatillas / Sneakers: Dior
This summer he went crazy for American Apparel's skinny jeans. These, in aubergine corduroy, are his favorites, and he regrets not having brought them in all colors.
Americana / Jacket: vintage (from his father)
Jeans: American Apparel
Shoes: Scalpers
He loves to take risks with difficult colors and wears them very well because he has enough attitude to even wear a lamppost on his head. Here he shows us one of his favorite pieces; long before velvet loafers became fashionable, he already had these from Gucci, which when put together read a phrase that offers a lot of possibilities...
Americana / Jacket: Scalpers
Jeans: American Apparel
Cinturón / Belt: Ralph Lauren
Shoes: vintage Gucci

Darling, you deserved this post because you're worth more than L'Oréal and you're the most handsome being in this world. Just so you know, I say this completely objectively, hehe!
