The Mondrian

From what I've seen, in Miami, the hotel you choose is absolutely crucial for your social life. In a city where there's not much else to do than go to the beach, go shopping, or go for drinks (what else does one need in life?), having a dream pool at your hotel will greatly facilitate your activity... or rather, vital inactivity. I left the choice entirely to my Consort, and I don't think he could have been more accurate when he chose The Mondrian.

Some of you have asked me about the hotel after seeing the photo in the previous post; let me tell you that the designer was Marcel Wanders and it belongs to the same chain as The Delano, another iconic hotel in a city where all places to visit have their own name: The Delano, The W, Nikki Beach, Versailles...

Miami is a lot of fun; I couldn't do much street style because life in all its aspects is reduced to a micro bikini, and no matter how pretty it is, hey, it's not stylish; but people are very friendly, you strike up conversations with anyone, and the general atmosphere is "fun mode on."

Oh, and the views, oohh, the views, day or night, wow, the views of the skyscrapers from the beach or lit up in colors at night. Who said the best skyscrapers were in NY? I love Miami.
