You may kiss the royal paw
La muy perras is a charity initiative launched by visual artists Rebeca Khamlichi and Mari Quiñonero, which involves the creation of a solidarity collection from over one hundred objects and unique pieces donated by designers, writers, musicians, painters, and actors to raise funds for the animal shelters they collaborate with through the website www.lasmuyperras.com. Their intention is to save as many greyhounds as possible from certain death, as nearly 15,000 greyhounds are abandoned each year, and thousands more are sacrificed at the end of the hunting season.
A year and a half ago, we received a proposal to collaborate with them by donating one of our jackets. We immediately said yes because at La Condesa we love animals and want them to have the dignified life they deserve. To support the cause, we donated a blue and gold Condesa Beatle jacket. One of the hallmarks of La muy perras is that donations are photographed with adopted dogs, and these moments are captured by Ale Megale, a top photographer who is also an animal lover. That's why, during these sessions, the team always ensures the animal is willing to pose, prioritizing its well-being and ensuring it never feels uncomfortable. With his great skill and understanding, he achieves spectacular photos like those he took with our jacket.

It was one of the most successful photos on our social media, it captured our hearts and everyone who saw it. So much so that our dear Hermanas Bolena, as soon as they saw Ale Megale's photos, knew that one of them was perfect for a decoration project they had underway. And months later, such an illustrious character presided in all its splendor in a living room of a house in Ibiza.
Seeing the spectacular result of these photos, we knew we had to repeat with these beautiful models in the future. And here it is, our new campaign of historical jackets by Ale Megale, featuring three big stars. Presenting You may kiss the royal paw.

Carmencita, Hugo, and Manolo are the three protagonists of this campaign, and they each have a beautiful story behind them. A few years ago, Mari Quiñonero, 50% of Las muy perras, wanted to adopt a greyhound. After looking at several shelters, she chose Apap Alcalá, where she adopted Manolo, a beautiful cinnamon-colored greyhound. And here we have Manolo wearing some of our most beloved historical pieces.

It seems that the love we feel for Manolo is mutual, because he doesn't want just one La Condesa jacket, he looks good in all of them.

For his part, Ale Megale was also looking for a dog to adopt. He visited several shelters and one day came across an advertisement where someone was asking for help, as they had a litter of greyhounds and couldn't take care of them. So Ale got in touch and adopted Hugo, the grey and white greyhound with unparalleled aristocratic bearing.

And one day in Retiro Park, Manolo and Hugo met, and in turn, Ale and Mari. And just like that, love blossomed. Some time later, on a trip to Murcia, while going to a large shopping center, they found Carmencita Alabama alone at the entrance of the establishment. A quick note: she has a double name because for Mari, she's Carmencita, and for Ale, Alabama. Mari tried to coax her with a croissant, but it was no use. With patience and calm, they managed to get her to approach and take her home. It was the weekend, so they couldn't take her to the vet to check if she was well and if she had a microchip. And after the weekend, when it was time to go to the vet, their only wish was that she didn't have a microchip, because she had stolen their hearts. And so it was, she was unidentified, so they were able to adopt her with the help of Apap Alcalá. And here, with all of you, is the Queen of the session, which is something we say with good reason.

La Condesa Scarf.
You've all seen the Queen of Queens, Elizabeth of England, relaxing in the French countryside, sporting her typical headscarf.

And here's Carmencita Alabama, more of a Queen than anyone.

And that's the story of the three protagonists of our campaign You may kiss the royal paw. We hope you like them as much as we do. And remember: don't buy, adopt; don't abandon, give love. These incredible beings can only make our lives happier.

Bellísima historia! Yo también tengo tres galgos adoptados con sus tristes historias detrás. Encantada de saber que amáis a los animales tanto como yo❤️
