URO: the makeup
Few love stories have been such a powerful source of inspiration and aesthetic references as the one portrayed in Bram Stoker's Dracula, the film directed by Francis Ford Coppola whose script was based on the novel of the same name. Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder, Keanu Reeves, and Anthony Hopkins are part of the main cast of the film, which premiered in 1992 and marked Coppola's return to success. With excellent box office results and recognition from the Hollywood Academy, it received three awards at the 65th Academy Awards ceremony, including Best Costume Design for Eiko Ishioka and Best Makeup for Greg Cannom, Michèle Burke, and Matthew W. Mungle.

Marina Conde, our Countess, Creative Director and soul of the company, meticulously attends to every single detail concerning each collection, using staging, music, hair, and makeup as the main elements in each show to transport us to the universe in which each collection has been conceived. And well, it is widely known that she cares about makeup every day and can be the happiest person in the world surrounded by beauty products, so you can imagine that when it comes to a fashion show, she gives her all with Paula Soroa, the "painter of Palazzo," i.e., the Makeup Director for all our fashion shows.

The makeup for this occasion was very elaborate, and we were able to achieve it thanks to the support of Lancôme. Paula and Marina spent weeks reviewing references and inspirations to create a very theatrical and striking makeup for a strong, powerful, elegant, and self-confident woman.

The key was the skin, very luminous and clean, delicate and elegant, incorporating gold flakes into the makeup for part of the casting or applying ornamental motifs typical of our jackets to the models' faces, which transformed them into beautiful creatures of the night, both real and fantastic.

The hair for the show was handled by Malavana Madrid. Once Marina presented Uro to Mel and her team, they clearly saw that gold had to be incorporated into the hair. So, sheets of gold leaf were carefully placed on the models' hair, a task that was by no means simple and required expert hands.

And since we were already busy, why not create a special manicure? So we did, creating jewel nails, long, blood-red, and reinforced with precious stones. What do you think?

Indeed, the beauty of this show is a true work of art, worthy of being explained by Marina, Paula, and Mel in the following video.
We knew this was going to happen: you've fallen in love with the jacket Marina is wearing in the video, the same one she chose on the day of the show, right?
It's called Stoker and it's a jacket that you can only get through our website, an exclusive product for a limited time. It's made of navy blue jacquard with a lurex lipstick embroidery, metallic thread that makes the lipstick shine. This is the first time we've made a jacket with an inverted collar, which is unusual and helps to flatter the neck. With a silhouette slightly fitted at the waist, buttonholes on the cuff and topstitching on the lapel, collar and pocket flaps make it that special garment with which we want to celebrate the arrival of the new season. Are you ready to be one of the privileged few to wear our Stoker jacket?
