The secrets hidden in the Rey frock coat

It could not be called anything else. The King Frock Coat is the most opulent, and in turn, the most complicated to make of all our jackets in the Historic Collection, the timeless line that you can find permanently throughout the year on our website and usual multi-brand points of sale, apart from our seasonal collections.

Its pattern is inspired by 18th-century men's frock coats, which did not have buttons, only a meeting point at chest height, to leave the waistcoat and trousers visible.

But if there is one thing that characterizes this frock coat, it is its embroidery, which makes it a special piece due to its complexity, because it cannot be made all at once and with a single machine; it is a long and delicate artisanal work, proudly made in Spain.

The first layer is embroidered with gold thread and consists of a series of floral motifs that gather a total of 18,000 stitches per quadrant.

The second part of the embroidery is carried out in another different workshop, specialized in this type of work, in Castilla La Mancha, where the embroidery that goes over the floral details is finished with gold cord.

Once it is completely embroidered, it returns to the workshop where all the pieces are assembled and the manufacturing process of one of our most desired jackets is finalized.

From design to the final touches, as is usual in Palazzo, they are carried out under the message of proudly made in Spain and so that you can wear it throughout the whole wide world here we leave you all the information.
