Cool girls wear La Condesa: Chloe Lecareux

Francesa, designer of her own swimwear collection, passionate about art and cinema, was discovered while walking in Cannes during the film festival. Her rebellious attitude is combined with a Parisian chic as sensual and mysterious as that of the French actress and singer Vanessa Paradis. Her confident and forceful attitude in front of the camera has led her career to accumulate work for Vogue Paris, Elle Spain, Marie Claire France, Grazia, Madame Figaro, Harper's Bazaar China, and the latest campaign for Boucheron for the e-commerce flagship par excellence, Net-a-porter.

But Chloe Lecareux's passion is not limited to posing for photographers like Patrick Demarchelier or Mario Sierra or signing campaigns like the one she stars in this autumn for La Condesa's historical jacket collection. At 22 years old, the French model is an entrepreneur who runs her own swimwear collection, which she sells through the Bleu de Vos website, and whose designs she produces in Mauritius.

What did you like about working with La Condesa?

"I'm surprised by how an everyday garment like a jacket can become something so sophisticated that it contains such meticulous work as La Condesa's designs. I find them to be very unique pieces, so I understand that these garments are not limited to one season but remain in their permanent collection."

How do you like to dress?

"I always dress very comfortably, jeans, a t-shirt, and sneakers, although the idea of combining that look with a great jacket, like La Condesa's military-style ones, seems like a triumph for any woman looking for a particular style."

What do you love about working as a model?

"I am a great admirer of talent, of creative people, so it's an immense opportunity to rub shoulders with the best in this profession."

What if you weren't a model?

"I think I would have dedicated myself to art. Whenever I travel, and I travel a lot, I visit galleries and exhibitions in museums because it's one of my greatest weaknesses. I can't imagine my life without art. I think one day I'll work in a gallery, although I don't rule out the idea of developing my own jewelry collection."

Why did you decide to create a swimwear brand?

"Because I can't help but think about how to share the luck of my work with others. Designing relaxes me, it encourages me to improve as a human being and, above all, it has taught me to organize my future as an entrepreneur. My work in fashion is just a reflection of how I am, a free woman, who shows her weaknesses and rebellions, her desire to discover so many new things in me."
