Anita Pallenberg, the female "Rolling Stone."

Born in Rome, Anita Pallenberg was a model, actress and fashion designer throughout her prolific life. Muse to several rockers in the 60s and 70s, she will go down in history as the female "Rolling Stone" for being the partner of Brian Jones and Keith Richards, the latter being the father of her three children. An intense relationship with dramatic moments, such as the sudden death of Tara Jo Jo, the couple's three-month-old daughter, being one of the triggers for the end of the relationship. It was in 1965 when Pallenberg first came into contact with the band. With her arrival into the Rolling Stones' circle, Anita helped them achieve the sophistication and audacity that would later catapult them to fame.

She first had a romantic relationship with Brian Jones, which ended when Keith and Anita became more than friends, reportedly happening in Spain on their way to Tangier. Along with Marianne Faithfull, Jagger's then-partner, she accompanied the group all over the world, although it has always been rumored that she had an affair with Mick during the filming of Performance, something she always denied. With a hedonistic spirit, she may have been the wildest of them all, with the band's record label seeing her as a danger due to her influence over the group members. Richards' arrest in Toronto in 1977, accused of drug trafficking, put more pressure on the couple, who were already under scrutiny. She appeared in films by cult directors such as Abel Ferrara and Harmony Korine. A style icon since the 1960s, she has been and continues to be pure inspiration for women much younger than herself. For us, she was certainly one of the great muses of NELLCÔTE, our collection from last winter. The suit jackets she shared with Richard, the hats that completed her magnificent looks, and her natural gift for mixing prints and textures that made her a fashion legend, drove and still drive us wild.In London, she became a fashion designer and even became part of the team of another irreverent Brit, Vivienne Westwood. One of her last forays into the fashion business was as a model, participating in Pam Hogg's show last September in London. We can even think that she was the natural predecessor of Kate Moss, given the coincidences that can be found in both their lives. In her later years, rehabilitated from her addictions and a self-confessed vegetarian, she dedicated her time to cultivating her own garden in the London neighborhood of Chiswick. On more than one occasion, she declared that she was not afraid of death, stating repeatedly that she never believed she would live past 40, saying goodbye to us at 73. Anitta Pallenberg forever.

Hola!

Saludos,

Olga
