Country

If you have to go to the countryside, you go, but there's no need to wear just anything and look like a mess. Especially since I discovered that in historical places they have the thoughtfulness to pave the streets with a straight line in the middle that allows you to walk in heels without hardly breaking your ankles (just a little). One more proof that things were built better before, unlike now with the horrible patterned cobblestones they put in Madrid where you risk your joints with every step. Platform for smooth asphalt now please!

Rebeca / Cardigan: Zara, they still have it.
Zapatos / Shoes: Paris, a shop called André with great and not expensive shoes.
Calcetines / Socks: Paris (a gift from my sister so probably purchased at Le Bon Marché).
Vestido / Dress: Forever 21 (not sure it's a dress really, I think it's too short for a dress, anyway!).
Chaleco / Vest: Vallmai, c/Fernanco VI - 8. Highly recommended semi-new store. It carries French, Nordic, etc. brands with beautiful things at very affordable prices. This vest cost me as much as one from Zara and feels much better than others that look like skinned plush toys.
Leggins: Karl Lagerfeld for H&M. Awesome, black semi-shiny leggings from 5 years ago when Karl said "You shall wear leggings" and we replied "Are you crazy? That 80s gym thing? Ha! Lose 30 kilos and wear them yourself if you want". And then he lost 40 kilos and we wore them even to the office

The locals might have been a bit shocked, but I was more shocked by those grasshopper-like motorcycles they ride that make a dreadful noise in the middle of my spiritual rest and made me look at them with hatred, a lot of hatred, so we were even. By the way, my computer is acting up but I hope to be able to upload photos of my first military jacket tomorrow.

So this is me at the countryside, consciously refusing to give up style just because it's not properly asphalted. It's easy for me since in Madrid the pavement is made out of loads of tiles that make your ankles suffer when wearing heels. I miss NY and SF with that flat shiny pavement.
