Piel real y arte

How beautiful the expansion of the Reina Sofía is. I had always seen it from street level, and the other day, from the top floors, it seemed even more spectacular with the roof designed by Jean Nouvel closer. I was thinking...."What a guy! How could he have thought that such a strange roof would look so spectacular and then convince everyone to do it?". I feel the same way when I see Balenciaga collections for the first time; I don't fully understand them because they're unlike anything else, but I feel that the more I see them, the more I'll like them. And eventually, I get the hang of them and can't live without seeing them for a bit every week, and everything else seems simple. Well, it's the same, for me the Reina Sofía expansion is like a Balenciaga dress. There! There goes my architectural philosophical moment of the day, I can't do more.

All this to tell you that these days it's hard for me to do street style because I leave work when there's no daylight left and the flash is the worst enemy of my photos. But luckily, while I was at the Reina, I ran into this absolutely spectacular coat.

What a collar, what cuffs! If it were mine, I'd wear the collar up to my eyes to shield myself from the madding crowd in that soft fur, and I'd use the cuffs to hypnotize mortals by burying their faces in them and convincing them to do whatever I wanted.... Like: "Give me the whole Ekseption display for 120€"...."Excuse me, what did you say?"...."I said empty the display. CUFFS OUT!". In the purest style of a fashionista Mazinger-Z.

Thanks to Rafael Celda who invited me to the event where I met this lovely woman. Seriously, this blog brings me such joys and anecdotes that they could fill another blog just about impossibly weird coincidences.
