Since then

But things got complicated. The filming had to be condensed into the minimum possible number of days to enjoy the locations, always shooting at night due to script requirements, coinciding with family visits, end-of-master exams, SummerCase concerts, and a horrible back contraction that together gave my character an unbearable look of anguish. Which, now that I think about it, might even have suited me.

But the ultimate irony is that people did so well, those talented and hardworking people, that what started as I told you above, has ended up as a feature film that premieres on February 24th at the Círculo de Bellas Artes. Oh gods! What do I wear? A mask, of course, to hide the embarrassment and, as Planeta Isabelino rightly advises, a small bottle of vodka in my purse.

Don't worry, it's not really a premiere like the ones we all imagine (I hope), it's more like a screening for the press and people who might be interested in distributing, producing, or generally loving it. So if you happen to know anyone who might fall into the categories described above, please let them know that on the 24th, a beautiful, funny film, made with zero budget and 1,000 effort, will be shown on the big screen, leaving a good taste in your mouth and in which I feel enormously privileged to have participated. Thanks, Mario. Congratulations to the whole team.

I leave you with the trailer and comments from people who know much more about cinema than I do. Here and here.

In the summer of 2007 (this sounds like the beginning of a song) a friend of mine offered me a little part in a pilot episode to show to a few TV producers. It was all a humble project among friends with little risk to end up looking ridiculous. But things got complicated, everybody was so talented and did such a great job that the initial pilot episode turned into a full-length film that is going to have its premiere on February 24th, at El Círculo de Bellas Artes.

It won’t probably be a premiere as you know them, but more like a chance to show the movie to some people in the film industry. So in case you know anyone that works in the industry and could be interested in some good and fresh Spanish film making, just let me know. I leave you with the trailer. Hope you like it.
