In love with Loverbooking

Loverbooking was a date for lovers. Lovers of fashion, photography, and creativity. A city (Malaga), a hotel (Lola Roomate), and 25 designers gathered for a day to showcase their creations.

The matchmaker for the whole love event was La madre de los Beatles, who deserves congratulations for an excellent organization. To Miss, to Mister, and the rest of the people of Malaga who gave their all, even to the point of having a queue to enter the hotel for much of the afternoon.

I had the honor of participating with other girls from the group Las Meriendas, specifically with Moniquilla, Silvia Calles'Closet, Lady Desidia, and Lucetemas, who were given the main suite to set up a communal shop. In short, I would say we couldn't have had a better time during our weekend in Malaga. We loved Malaga, its festive atmosphere, its people (even when they bargain), and their interest and participation in an initiative like this, which was so surprising that it even overwhelmed us a little. And the beginning of the weekend certainly didn't lead us to believe that everything would go so well.
We arrived on Friday afternoon by AVE, loaded like mules, disembarked in the room, and after several hours of work, the general appearance of the room was still this...

Something like the Normandy landing, but with clothes. Our despair grew by the minute when we heard rumors that in the neighboring rooms they were setting up artificial lakes and other marvels, while we only had balloons, garlands, and... a lot of goodwill. We worked until late and finally left everything almost finished, but the spirit of "don't go yet, there's still more" (long live Speedy) was with us and... we didn't have enough space to sleep for everyone... ha ha... we ate something late at night in a place where they didn't treat us particularly well... ha ha... we found the reserved hostel thanks to Silvia's iPhone google maps, which she insisted on insulting because the little green doll wouldn't move like a GPS to show us the way... ha ha ha!... we hoped to have some time because at 10 am nobody would want to come in yet, and at 10:05 the first person knocked on our room door... HA HA HA!
But there's nothing that a group of brave women can't achieve, and just 5 minutes before we got the last warning to open to the public, we managed to get the shop to look like this...

Our tea party-themed shop, beautiful, beautiful.

Everyone's clothes mingled in the different environments and complemented each other perfectly.

The headboard of the bed held my military jackets and on the bed rested creations from all of us.

Here you have Silvia Calles from Silvia Calles'Closet, who brought her unmistakable dolls printed on dresses, t-shirts, and illustrations to Malaga, which usually get snapped up.

Monica from Moniquilla wearing one of her Klimt-inspired t-shirts next to the wall where she displayed her illustrations. People were amazed when they realized that the fabrics she uses for her famous scarves are her own creations. By the way, Monica, I copied the intro to your post.

Lucía from Lucetemas surrounded by her designs and wearing one of her flattering and feminine t-shirts that literally flew off the shelves. She spent the whole day adjusting the belts that accompany them because the Malaga customers wanted them all.

I don't have photos of Lady Desidia (right photo) with her creations, although it's not really necessary because this woman is already on another level; wherever she goes, she sweeps everyone away, and it's because more beautiful things are hard to see in the world.

Of course, I went with my jackets, why not! Look how pretty they are hanging there.

And I found a model who wears them much better than me, Estrella, a friend of Carolina Santos and Zoe, whom I had the tremendous pleasure of meeting in person.

In fact, it was one of the things I enjoyed most about the event: being able to meet face-to-face with people I had spoken to virtually and whose work I follow, like Carolina, Zoe, Yolanda (I'm forgetting someone...)...IT WAS A PLEASURE, LADIES!
By the way, for the occasion, I made a mini collection of dresses that, of course, I didn't have time to photograph; as they say, the cobbler's children have no shoes, and I had no camera, but luckily I'm rescuing them by "stealing photos from other Facebook profiles."

Carolina is holding a dress that she later took home; it makes me so happy to know that my garments are going to live in good homes where they will be much loved.

I made the "Loverbooking special edition" women's jacket with red wool and black velvet details; I like it so much that I think I'll make a few more. I love how red looks on jackets.

Here is Carolina wearing her acquisition and me with another design I made in dark tones and with a sequined ruffle (if I don't put a sequin, a braid, or something gold, I feel like something's missing).

Special mention to Beatriz VP from Con dos bolsas en cada mano (right photo) who also attended despite her tiredness and several trips this week, and who wears another of my dresses like no one else. Beautiful!

Anyway, we loved the experience and only drew positive conclusions, so much so that we are setting up a common website among all the members of Las Meriendas, and in February a bigger, much bigger, and exciting project will see the light, and that is... on FEBRUARY 6 WE ARE OPENING A SHOP/SHOWROOM IN MADRID!!! There, I've said it, now we have to do it and we can't back out... HELP. Will you come and see us, please? We'll give you tasty BollyCaos with Nesquik for snacks.

Oh, by the way, joy for my mother, I was published in the Malaga newspaper as a Milanese model, I almost fell over when I saw myself. Total excitement!!

Thousands of kisses
