A lot on my mind
After an intense week, like coffee, I'm slowly returning to my usual routine of: taking photos with friends, bothering Tomy the cat, dressing up as Mad Men, sitting and imagining what astral combination of planets made that glorious day Patrick Demarchelier lay his eyes on my jackets and not only not reject them but photograph them... well, those little things I like to waste my time on.
Thank you, thank you, and thank you for all the comments on the previous post, what went through my head this week is indescribable. Indescribable. When Vogue asked me for the jackets, I would have been thrilled if they had put them on the shoulder of anyone passing by and an assistant's assistant photographer had taken a quick shot of them to appear in a corner. But, on Anja's body? Photographed by Demarchelier? Nooo, it's still inconceivable to my mind, I can't quite process it.
I admit that I'm a bit touched in the head, and perhaps that's why at Cibeles I took more photos than usual of people covering their thoughts.

This beautiful young woman is 50% of Rita Von, a brand of headpieces you can see at Máquina de cosas bonitas

I like the dress and the wedding headpiece. Why be discreet when you can go like this? Of course!

Beautiful and elegant wide-brimmed hat

I really like how all the colors are combined, and the lapel in a different color from the rest of the coat drives me crazy—great idea that I'm noting down

The master, José Castro, wherever I see him, I stalk him, and he's so nice that he doesn't mind. On this occasion, taking advantage of the fact that I was wearing Anja's vest, I explained what had happened and asked for an alternative as a designer with a blessing over the garment. He, all spontaneous, took off his hat and put his head through the inside of the vest. So I won't even give that vest to my children as an inheritance; they will bury me with it.

Thanks to Sara (a reader who left a comment), I know that this funny hat is by José Zambrano, one of the designers who exhibited in the Cibelespacio showroom.

Ana Turpin, I can only say G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S. Last Friday, I rescued my elephant-leg jeans while wondering where I could have gotten such a great idea, HA!, from Ana, you copycat!

And finally, a photo of someone whose presence kept disturbing me throughout Cibeles, so much so that I couldn't even get close enough to ask him if that hair was his or a borrowed accessory. I still don't know, but I don't care, I just want to look like him and achieve that hair volume. Wow!

I'm signing off as it's Monday and we're still getting started, but I promise to return, post more often, and show signs of life. I'll be back with more chronicles from Cibeles and life in general.
A thousand hugs,
The Countess is still in shock
