The return of fun and essentials

On the last day of Cibeles, they took the following picture of me. Although I could see the tiredness reflected on my face, I'm not one to refuse a photo after having asked hundreds of patient citizens for one; besides, my ego made me think they were taking it because of my beautiful jacket. I was about to proudly comment that it was from the brand La Condesa when they tell me...no, it's not about the jacket, it's about the bag, whose is it?.....woof, woof, woof, woof...uhm...eh...it's from Fun&Basics, aren't you interested in the jacket?.
I've realized that since Christmas I look a little more like my fifth cousin on my great-great-grandmother's side, Queen Isabella II, because I go everywhere with my bag on my back. Just one, the same model, day and night, everywhere, loaded as if it were a suitcase, and although discreet, it gains followers wherever I take it. It costs €50, they have it in black and in the colors in the photo, you told me in the last post that you liked it, and honestly, with all that fits inside, I should even dedicate a poem to it.

Almost everyone, including myself, is surprised that it's from Fun&Basics. I remember buying things from this brand about 5-6 years ago; they had good design, sufficient quality, and a more than reasonable price. But suddenly, something changed, you'd go in and everything was khaki or gray, plastic and not very pretty, so I stopped going. What a surprise it was when a few months ago I saw my new queen-mother bag in one of their shop windows, and upon entering, I found a familiar but almost forgotten sensation, a déjà vu, there were pretty things again!

Since then, I've been encountering Fun&Basics more and more often. For example, the gift for the VIP guests at Teresa Helbig's fashion show was a canvas bag specially designed by Fun&Basics.

All this leads me to think that something new might be happening at Fun&Basics, that there's hope it will return to what it once was. And I suspect that much of the credit goes to its new designer, the woman with the fantastic fur hat posing next to Beatriz Fernández (Fashionistas Estudio) and Julia Martínez (Telva). I place all my faith in her.

Let's hope my prayers are answered and I can go back to buying functional bags at a good price now that Zara has made them more expensive through Uterqüe and Bimba&Lola are setting increasingly ridiculous prices. Don't you get the feeling that bag prices have gone up lately? Where do you go to buy everyday bags? Misako? Argh, Hazel? Hmm, something's missing. Please tell me, or I'll soon end up buying the same model over and over again but in different colors.

I have such a good time with Photoshop
