With the title of this post, I'm far from referring to a young and ambitious lawyer with a promising career whose future is cut short by an unspeakable betrayal within the prestigious law firm where she works, although it sounds like it, doesn't it? In reality, I'm referring to the collaboration between Vivienne Westwood and the plastic shoe brand Melissa Plastic Dreams.
Honestly, if I think of plastic shoes, the first thing that comes to mind is heat, sweat, and the jelly shoes we wore as kids—in short, yuck. But I admit that these models with the giant wax seal are very pretty, and if someone explains to me that my prejudices are just that—prejudices to overcome—I am more than willing to quickly change my mind. For now, the user of the heeled model told me that they smell like strawberry chewing gum for weeks, which I love... wait, mixed with summer sweat... ewww again.
