Hat-trick for La Condesa in Telva, July 2010

I'm telling you this very late, extremely late, in fact I'm quite behind with La Condesa's press appearances. You notify me before I even see them myself (thank you). I'm taking advantage of my vacation now to tell you how well we're doing with the Spanish media and to thank heaven and all the stylists and editors of those media for giving us their support. Sometimes I'm even afraid to say it out loud so as not to break the magic, I don't know, I just can't quite believe it yet. Here we go, we're still at it.

In the July issue of Telva magazine, a beautiful Adriana Abascal greeted us from the cover, inside she gave us a seductive look surrounded by two hunks, and in the middle of it all... the vest... a whole page. My goodness. The same vest Anja Rubik wore, the one Patrick Demarchelier photographed (aaahhhhhh!!! I still scream every time I remember that happened), the one José Castro blessed with his sweat, the one that has now been next to Oriol Elcacho; I really tell you, when that vest comes home after its long journey around the world, I'll have to frame it or give it to a taxidermist to make something bigger with it, since it has feathers I guess he'll accept it.

As if that weren't enough, in the middle of the magazine there's a report about a visit the Telva team made to Zaragoza, and what do my eyes see in a small photo, something I could recognize even with 15-diopter glasses on? Julia Martínez, Telva's stylist, at such an event, wearing, as only she could, the La Condesa Red jacket. I laugh to myself because I don't think they've noticed this undercover appearance of La Condesa, and I feel tremendous personal satisfaction because when a stylist wears your jacket in her daily life, something is really working well with that garment. Total joy. Thank you, Julia, because you wear it like no one else, and I know that with it you make a legion of admirers happy in these cyber spaces.

And finally, the hat trick (forgive me for being so soccer-crazy, but I still haven't gotten over the World Cup fever) that made me wallow on the sofa like a pig in a puddle: my own appearance, with that silly face I have, in a piece that Cristina Castany, Telva's editor, had been preparing for months. Thanks, thanks and thanks Cristina for thinking of me for this piece, thanks for being so lovely (you can't imagine what a nice girl she is, please) and a thousand thanks for featuring me with one of next season's jackets. How exciting, my first photos for a magazine, oohh ohhh baby, what bad posing by the way, but it doesn't matter, I blame the braces that make me make a strange mouth gesture so the wires don't show, but I like it because I look like a normal person and not like "uhh I'm in a magazine."

A thousand hugs,

La Condesa, who is from Badajoz, not Cáceres, a small detail.
