Muht
Many times I'm asked why I don't only talk about La Condesa on the blog. I've certainly been tempted to do so, especially after one occasion where it backfired on me, but I don't because:
1) You would be awfully bored, and the sole purpose of this blog is to entertain.
2) The blog existed before the brand, so I feel indebted to it and prefer to remain faithful to its initial spirit.
3) I know how incredibly difficult beginnings are, so if I can contribute a tiny grain of sand to someone whose work I like, I prefer to take an occasional hit.

Gabriela Tapias was born in Mexico but has lived in Madrid for half her life. She studied at IED and, less than a year ago, created the accessory brand Muht. She's just starting out, and since we know how tough beginnings can be, I'm taking advantage of this return from vacation days to introduce her to you and host a giveaway with her help.

I don't really like giveaways; I feel that giveaways are to blogs what discount coupons are to supermarkets, but they are undoubtedly effective, so once again, we swallow our aristocratic airs and start one. Let it be known that Arnold the Rhino will be giving away a pale pink leather bow bracelet from Muht's Lasso collection to those who leave a comment on the blog with their email (important, no email = no contestant) and some words of encouragement for Gabriela.
I will publish the results of the giveaway on Friday, April 29th, and I will send the bow to the winner by mail, which means that, I'm sorry to say, islanders and non-resident foreigners in Spain are excluded from the giveaway (goodness, this sounds like a xenophobic statement, but please, it's purely a matter of minimizing logistical costs; one thing is to offer support, another is to be a wealthy philanthropist).
