Inspiring Businesses III: Hand Cut Portraits

 



A few years ago, it became fashionable to give "Warhol-esque" portraits that were made for you at copy shops with artistic pretensions from a photo you brought them. Spain was filled with shoddy pop art; girlfriends, brothers, friends, were forced to hang the worst photos of their lives, colored and saturated to infamy. I shudder just remembering it. Perhaps that's why when I found these discreet and elegant paper cut-out portraits, something inside me found peace.

Although what you should really do is grab a piece of paper, a pair of scissors, a jar of patience, and try your luck. Who knows, maybe you'll find a new business venture and give a break to all those awful things that have been given as birthday presents for years. It certainly can't be cheaper to try, because buying a laser cutter is for the pros...
